Couples Counselling, Psychotherapy and Family Mediation in Teddington and Bushy Park

My Story

In 1996 I set up a counselling agency with colleagues called 'Impact'. We had contracts to provide counselling for employees of Rhondda Cynon Taff Borough Council, Welsh National Opera, Opportunity Housing Trust and other major employers in South Wales. I also worked for other employee assistance agencies, such as AXA, seeing staff and managers from large corporations such as Barclays, GE, BA, ITV, and many others. I worked as a staff counsellor with First Great Western Trains, and worked with survivors of the Southall train crash. I worked with patients in the NHS in the Shetland Islands, and for 8 years in Gwent Family Mediation as a family mediator and latterly as a supervisor, qualifying with the then College of Family Mediation. In the past 18 years I have worked in my own private practice. 8 years ago I moved back to London from South Wales and started a private practice in Teddington.

My initial training was humanistic, person centred, solution focused and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). But in the past two decades I have done training in a wide range of therapeutic schools of thought and draw on whatever feels helpful for the individual and the issues you bring.

My interests are in the natural world and the environment , social justice, creative and therapeutic writing, and the arts.
